Want to meet your local authors? Find out who's a legend like you? Download these posters!
One of our community legends said something like this on a recent podcast: “I wished I’d known where all the Catholic writers around me were! I felt so alone, and longed for others who ‘get’ me and what I’m doing, as an author.”
That hit right in the feels. That’s exactly how I felt growing up, and it’s the reason why LegendFiction exists. To help us find each other.
Here is a tool that just might help you level up your epicness in your local community. It’s a free poster template in Canva you can download, print off, and fill in your details.
Then post it in your parish vestibule, in your local coffee shop, on your campus notice board, and so on (get permission where needed…).
See who shows up!
Maybe it will be one other secret legend like you who had no idea you were around.
Maybe it will be a cluster of people who show up interested to see how it goes and who shows.
Maybe you’ll make an unexpected group of new friends to write together with.
Here’s what the poster says:
Want to join a friendly writing group in your area? Let’s write together, talk, brainstorm, read aloud, and hang out like heroes.
You know the stories you heard about fiction authors, heroes, and writers? The lovers of Jedi, wizards, demigods, halfbloods, dragonborn, hobbits, superheroes, aliens... They’re real.
If you ever feel like you don’t fit, like the world doesn’t make sense, then you might be a part of our world. You might have the calling of legend. So don’t give up. We might need you.
Pick from one of four colors, or pick all of them!
This poster is available as a Canva file, so you can swap out your face, and add your own details.
Let me know if you run into any issues or questions with this template!
Are you going to use a poster? Drop a comment below where you plan to put it up! And of course, we’d love to know how your meetups go!
